The sea is the epitome of all things romantic. Landlubbers do not understand why those of us who need to play on the waters of the sea run out there, despite weather warnings and crashing waves. While there is an eternal element of danger associated with the sea, there is also an immeasurable calm that stirs the hearts of those who need the sea the same way they need love, air, and food. The sea is healing, a place where battles can be fought in the rough troughs and love can linger on the slightest whiff of air.The sea is the one place that so many of us feel connected to the world around us. Whether we play amicably on the waves, play with the wildlife that refuses to harm us, or we simply sit in our own silence and tune into the rhythm of the waves, the sea gives us connection to something spiritual.
